92 8' truck bed

Hi everyone
Justin here, in the classifieds i found and 8' truck bed for my ride and it looks to be in real nice shape, no rot or rust, the guy is asking 750, is that resonable? i seem to think if all works out i will send him a deposit to hold it until i can go on a roadtrip to pa from ct which is like 4-5 hrs thanks for the input- cant wait till truck is all set and done, tired of looking at the utility bed

that seems high to me, then again i got a whole truck for $500.

my buddy had an almost perfect (one very small ding) 8' dodge bed that he had to give away because no one would buy it. he only asked $150 on Craig's List, settled for a 12 pack. then again, this is California, not as many rot issues here.
i guess its just a matter of who has what. if you cant find one and you really need it, maybe $750 is okay. if you can hold out for a better deal, maybe you should. .

at the end of the day it boils down to one thing: will you be happy with your purchase, or will you wish you held out?

for a truly rust free bed i don't think it is outrageous. They are very hard to come by.

I think it would be a good price if it's a match to your color.

Good ones are hard to find as the last one was made 16 years ago.

I would say the price is fair because we are in the snow/salt belt... They are getting hard to find... I was able to buy a junk truck with a perfect box for 650 and gutted all the nice grey interior parts and then scraped the truck for 450.. So..I got real lucky!!

I think $750 for a mint bed is great deal! If its beat up a bit or a little rusty I would wait. I just passed up on a awesome red dually bed for $900. If I hadnt just bought my nv4500 I would have sent a deposite. They are only going to get harder to find!!! And for all you Cali guys! Yeah the prices seem real nice but you couldnt pay me to live in your state! To many restrictions! I have a twin turbo 350Z. From what buddies on another furom tell me. Your state is rediculous! Are the restrictions that bad for these older diesels to?

Seems strange that my post was deleted for advertising when in post #7 a price is quoted, when in fact I was making light of the drive time to the west.
