91.5's fuel milage

Well i got to feel the pain of paying $4.42 for diesel and after about $120 bucks was spent i was feeling bad but then cheered up when i hand calculated that i got 19.6 miles to the gallon on 430 miles on that tank (i did not run it to empty) so even though i spent so much i an gettin great milage I think. about 75% of that driving was city and about 20% was pullin bout 4000lbs, so she aint doin too bad, it also was burnin about 10 gallons of used motor oil on that tank.

Question I am still kind of new too a lot of this.....but what does the oil in the fuel do for the truck. Better mpg or more lubrication for the engine??I have never heard of that and am always trying to learn more. Thanks.

Well the oil does not really lubricate the engine but it does the pump, its very recommended when you use high sulfur diesel, and it gives you a little bit more power and better mpg too!!

Thanks i never new that, always learning something new. I guess i could see how it helps though with ultra low sulfur diesel having less lubricating agents in it at least thats what i have been told about ultra low it lacks a lot of stuff the older fuel had.
