89 Gmc Crew - Cab Duallie
I was at an antique farm machinery show, Saturday, and noticed a four-door GMC that had a CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL emblem in the grille.
The truck was hooked to a flat-bed, loaded with various vehicular odds and ends for sale.
I asked the guy if I could take a look under the hood.
He had installed a 1992 inter-cooled Cummins/Getrag in it.
Within minutes, there were more people examining his engine swap, than were looking at the many hit-and-miss engine displays.
Besides the guy with the GMC, no less than five others (myself included) stated that they were driving 1st Gen. powered engine converted trucks that were on the grounds right then.
The old 454 big-block and transmission were among the junk for sale on the trailer-flat.
He stated that he also had a four-door Chevy, same model, 4X4, that also had a 1st Gen. for power.

Been good.
Ready for another picnic, whenever you are.
It sounds like we are talking about the same truck, as there was an I-H plate on the bumper.
It was at the annual Renfro Valley Fall Harvest Festival antique machinery show.
