89 D250 727- nv4500 swap questions

Im going to be buying a nv4500 from some one and im geting the trans, shifter, clutch, flywheel, and rear plate from the engine also the hydraulics from a 2nd gen and I know I will need a starter. Ive looked through the how to`s and it covered all of the things that I have already got. I know I will need the clutch pedal and trim or get a bake pedal. what about the hydraulics will they jsut bold up or do I need to adapt 1st gen to 2nd gen things?

I'm in the process of swapping the A518 to nv4500 on a W350. as far as the hydraulics are concerned, I got them new from South Bend along with a new clutch and flywheel. That's the route I opted for, there might be other ways.

your signature mentions you were going to get a TC: if you don't mind my asking, why did you decide to go with manual?

Every thing else I own is a manual and I want to get away from the 3.07 gears that I have im going to 3.55 just because of avalibility and I can get a locker for it. so your saying that 2nd gen hydraulics will just go rite into a 1st gen?

well, since I haven't done it yet, I can't say from experience: what I can relate is what I've been told so far, and that is the master and slave from 2nd gen trucks will require a little work to fit. I think the member with extensive experience in swapping those transmissions is 1stgen454. If he doesn't chime in, you could PM him your questions.
whereabouts are you?

freds89 go to a junkyard/salvage yard and save yourself a bundle. I'm not totally sure but from my understanding non diesels will also work and several years back will work. But ask some others that have "been there done that" and get a better idea of what will work. Good luck with your upgrade swap.
