3rd Gen. Turbos on our 1st Gens??

OK, this might have been touched on already, but has anyone tried putting on one of the 3rd generation turbos on one of our 1st gens?? The reason I ask is that there are a ton of 'em for sale on ebay!! Most going for cheaper than an hx-35. Just thought id ask...I would guess that someone has at least thought about it too??

You just don't want to pick up an hy35.. most were 9cm exhaust housings...

Holset states them as the HE341 and HE351, the 351 being on the 04.5-05 trucks. Anyway, they are still supporting a lot more power on those stock 600 ft/lb. trucks than what my truck is making. What would hurt putting a 9 on an older truck...with fuel prices being how they are, I definetly dont want to add MORE fuel, just utilize all the fuel I'm feeding the engine now. So anyone else heard of anyone trying this kind of setup??

The exhaust housings are too restrictive. You have POD's, you are dumping in way too much fuel for those little turbos.

That later 3rd gen trucks had the hx35.. but I don't know if that 04.5 or later??? I think that would be a good change.. just not the hy35's...
