3IN crossover tube.
I can't find a intercooler for PS, 1st gen or 2nd gen here. I found one first gen cooler n tubes but they are overpriced on there parts by a lot. If I got a 3in turbo crossover tube and a h1c turbine housing n wheel from an intercooler truck or hx35 would I see a drop in egt's?

I gotta say a huge thanks to crazy glem for the cooler I can't thank you enough man that's what my truck needs in these hot Okanagan temps. Pulling something puts the temp through the roof real quick if I'm not super careful.
I have a buddy who just did his 93 up so I might eventually get the turbo off him someday when I can afford to buy another turbo.
Can I take the truck to a muffler shop n get them to bend up some 3 inch pipes for cooler tubes or will it not hold?

While you do need something to hold the boots on, yu don't *have* to have beads rolled in the ends. It's a good method, but it depends on how much it's going to cost.
I've had good luck just running a thin bead of weld as close to the end of the pipe as I can without burning through. Hit them with a file when you're done to knock down any sharp spots that may cut on your boot and you're good to go.
I'm putting 45-50 psi through 2 sets of pipes with this on it.

also, I had my hotside intercooler pipe made without beads rolled. I only ever had a boot pop off once. it was LOUD when it popped off. I just put it back on and tightened the clamp as tight as I could. It never popped off after that.

That's a smart idea thanks man. My baby H1c is putting out 28-31 n I don't feel like going any higher.

well your question was will upgrading to an hx35 and going to a 3" crossover drop your EGTs. That's why I said it that way, my bad. I was just saying it'll help, but it's anyone's guess as to how much exactly. Adding that intercooler will definitely help out. Now to just do something about that baby h1c!

K I'll keep all these things in mind when I do it. Are the stock tubes 2.5 or 3in I don't remember if I asked already or not.
I have a buddy with a 93 he put on a garret turbo n said he would sell me his h1c off his intercooled truck once I have the extra money.
