Welll with a 3200 spring in our old 91, it would smoke right up to alittle before 3500RPM. And it made 38 psi at 3400 rpm.
So The 3200 gov. spring gets you a little more than 3200.

Some owners only want full fuel to less than 3000, which is possible with the stock spring.

True but once you experience the throttle response of a truck equipped with a 3200 spring.... You'll never wanna go back.
And the sound at 3400RPM coming out of a straight pipe is amazing

The sound of the pistons slapping on the valves sounds pretty cool as well if something gives under load at those RPMs :-)
For most people who don't want to hot rod their trucks, the 3200 spring was meant to get 'full fuel' at 2600 and a little bit past, to help with the 2-3 gear shift of the getrag amongst other reasons.
As more tech has emerged over the years it is apparent that those who wanted to gain drivability have other options than the 3200gsk. I for one don't want to crack the pump on my 1993 with with less than 60K original miles to put in the spring, esp when I can get full fuel up to 3000 with the stock one.
