350-400 hp
I know that I have seen a couple threads on here about what you are going to need to get in this hp range but can't seem to find them. so sorry for a repetative thread.
I have turned up my pump as much as I can but only made a slight differece, and very little smoke . I have yet to get a gov spring. will be doing a piston pump conversion, timing bump, head gasket, valve springs, and air filter upgrades soon, but am wondering what injectors to go with and turbo I will need to reach those goals

little smoke is nothing to be sad about, smoke is just wasted fuel and heat! to reach 373/837 i have pod injectors, htt stage 3, 12cm wg, BHAF, pump tweaks, and WM injection (WM accounted for 63hp). however my EGTs are somewhat out of control, i definately could NOT use all that power to tow!
Why are you considering a head gasket? are you going to o-ring the head? unless it's leaking or you are planning twins in the near future i would leave the head gasket alone. What are the valve springs for, unless you are getting above a 3200spring and plan to rev it WAY high, they aren't needed yet.

Or you could go with an HTT HTB2, DDP4's and a full 4 inch exhaust with your other planned mods and be able to use it all and have fun with it. Not sure towing would be the best, but I'm not complaining.

Keep your VE, Get a BHAF,stage 4 DDP sticks, Bullydog fuel pin, timing bump, 3200 spring, s300g turbo, stage 2 water meth kit, 4 inch exhaust, trany upgrade-clutch if standard, convertor if auto. All money better spent. P-pump, fire ring, etc when you got it so bad you want over 500 hp!

I am wondering the same thing. I am looking at geting a 93 cummins with a 5 speed standard. I am wanting to get around 400-450 hp without water meth. What would be a good clutch to go with for drag racing. Would you need to do anything else to transmission besides the clutch? Sorry for high jacking the thread but i am going to look at the truck tommorrow and i want to know what i can do with it?
Big question for me is how hard is it to p-pump the motor. I have power mod syndrome.
Thanks

No problem, the AFC lever is in the top of the pump and controls alittle bit of the pumps fuel that you dont recieve until the pump sees boost. So in short, when the lever is removed you get full fuel right when you put the pedal down, no matter the conditions. The SPS62 is the turbo im running, it has a 62mm comp wheel with a 71mm exhaust wheel and a 14cm wastegated housing. The edm's im running are 6x18's. As for a clutch talk to the guys at South Bend they can set you up.

Look at my sig. it shows what I've done to mine to get to 394/865. The only thing you can't find for a 1st Gen is the DD3+ injectors I run, but there are a whole lot of shower heads - err injectors out there that as good or better.
