3200gsk

Hey guys I just bought a 3200gs, I thought I was ordering the kit that comes with the new tophat and spring but all I got was the 366 spring. Is it must to change the tophat and spring or can I just put the 366 in the pump the way it is.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks Ben, I can't wait to put it in. I'm doing the spring a Dennyt II pin and the throttle linkage all at once. Should make quite a difference, I hope.

Thanks for the offer Dave, I may just do that. I'm a little apprehensive about the spring, I have not ventured inside a pump as of yet. When the pin gets here I have to figure out a date between shows when I can tear into it, then I'll give you a shout. Thanks again.

hhahaa i remember that.

we had to drive our bucket of bolts home idling at 1100 rpm with an auto.

Not only will Tater's truck look good but it'll perform awesome too.

Hey, Don't laugh... I learned to re-index my throttle shaft blindfolded.

I don't remember what happened, I think Dave did'nt have the wrench or something for the idle screw, and i had a football game the next day, and we were 3 hours away, so My dad and I took off with the truck idling at 1000+. it ran AWESOME though,

the pedal was so touchy after that 3200 spring it was 2x better then the response of His 2005 CTD 3rd gen.

Hey guys I was checking out the springs that I just got(one for my truck one for dad's). I noticed niether spring has 366 on them like a lot of the pictures I've seen on here. Also there is a slight difference in size, one mics .0417" wire diameter and one is .0435". The spring with the larger wire diameter is also about .030" longer than the other. Has anybody ever checked the dimensions befor installing the spring. Thanks.

Did the springs come loose or were they in little bags with a Bosch part number tag inside?

They should be identical, and every 3200 RPM spring I've seen had "366" inked on it. I might have a spring in my box at work that I can mike for you tomorrow.

Hey Dave, both springs were in one bag. The packing slip has the part number on it that I got out of the sticky(1464650366) and the discription says bosch spring.

Thanks Branden. Have you ever checked an original to see what they were?
