Do/did they make 3.08's with 1 ton axles?

 

Yes. Any '89 or '90 dually with an automatic would have them.

 

I almost bought a 85 F250 with 3.08 rears and a diesel. For a conversion, guys. I'd never go back to a IDI 6.9. Had a D61. Didnt do any measurements, but it appeared close to the same width as a SRW D70.

the C&C 89-90 trucks would certainly be a different width d71 3.08 as well
