2wd front suspension question
On a D-250, located between the front bumper and front suspension assembly, are two long angled rods that have rubber bushings on their forward threaded ends where they pass through frame-mounted brackets.
The rearward ends of these rods appear to be flattened, with bolt-holes, and appear to be rigidly bolted.
What is the correct name for these rods and what are the bushings called.
To replace the bushings, it appears to me that one must first remove the big nut at the forward end, then un-bolt the rod from it's rearward mounting thus to allow the forward end to be pulled out of it's hole in the bracket; right ??
Thanks.

Thanks for confirming this for me; I thought that was what they were called but was not sure.
The one's on the wife's truck are the same as gone; I am hoping that is what is making the metal-to-metal rattling sound when she comes up our gravel driveway.
Thank you.

The roll pins in front of the nut might give you a hard time. I'm guessing one would need a stout punch that is also the same diameter as the hole in the rod in order to drive the pin all the way out.
