2nd gen lift pump into a 1st gen
Hello gang: I just heard about a fellow who swapped out the lift pump on is 1st gen by using a 2nd gen manual lift pump.
Can anyone direct me to any post(s) that covers this upgrade?
Is is a good upgrade?
Just curious.
Thanks

Look in the sticky all the info is there under piston lift pump. The stock second gen pump supplys too much pressure for the ve on the first gen you need a regulator.

Oh, I was told it was "plug and play". I see anywhere from 6 to 11 PSI on my 1st Gen.
I change the lift pump about every year and half (I run WVO and I think the veggie oil eats or weakens the diaphram a bit.) I found Cummins stock lift pumps on ebay for $35.00, so I bought 3 of them.
Call me "silly".
Thanks for the info, I will try to figure out the "sticky" board."
