I have a buddy that has a well worn '89 3500. I will readily admit I know little about the 1st Gens so I wanted to ask you guys, what kinds of things can I donate from my 2nd gen to his 1st gen?

I have a 98 3500 12v that I am doing a lot of work to. First I am yanking the exhaust, he has tons of holes throughout his exhaust and it is making too much noise for him in the cab. Then I am replacing my injectors with 370s, can the his truck use my old stock injectors? His are giving him a lot of grief.

What else should I be on the watch for coming off my truck that will work with his? He just rolled over 200k miles on it, it makes an excellent work truck and he doesn't want to dump a lot of money in it BOMBing it.

I guess I should mention he still has the stock auto transmission. It has been rebuilt a couple of times, and I think he said the last one was about 60k miles ago...

 

Your injectors won't work with his pump.

The only thing you might be upgrading that he could use is the turbo. Your HX-35 would really perk his truck up.
