235/85R16 tires on DRW trucks
I'm just wondering if you guys that run them have enough room between the back set of tires. I don't want to run the stock size but don't want them rubbing

No problems for me. I ran up from SC to ME with about 3000lb of pilfered goodies in the bed and the tires had a fine gap. Had to convince the guy at the tire place though since he said they "will" rub.

have 235's on my rears and have plenty of room. never measured exactly, but eyeballing it, i'd guess there's just under 1" between the sidewalls. that's all while running only 40psi in them.

The sticker on my D350 says 215. When I bought my truck 2 years ago it had a set of 215s on it and they're still going strong. I do think I may make teh change to 235s when it comes time to replace them. I wonder if the W350 trucks had the 235 tire size and the D trucks had the 215s??

my W350 says 215's on the door, but have run 235's they look nice... little more than 1" diameter larger.
IDK what the SRW trucks are supposed to have as my sticker has been painted over, but my utility truck has 235's as well, and the speedo is dead on with my GPS and the trailers the cops put on the side of the road to display your speed by intersections.

Our 91.0 D250 says 235/85 E in the door....
The 93 D250 and other 91.0 D250 both say 235/85
the 92 Dually C&C says 215/85 E
All the 4x4's we've had said 245/75 in the door if it was SRW...

does anyone know if later truck wheels like chevys or 2nd/3rd gen wheels have different offset and or backspacing to be able to run the 235s while keeping good distance from each other. because my truck is 4x4 and i plan on 1inch front skyjacker springs id hate to run 215s

With a SRW why not run a set of 245-75s or 265-75s? You should be able to easily fit them in there and with the wider tread pattern you'll have a little more rubber on the road. The 85s would look a little narrow to me, especially after you put a levelling kit on the front.

245s are short. i run 265s now and love them but im converting to DRW. i thought about 255/85s if i would keep it SRW.
i want to run 235s but want to keep the tires apart enough
there are so many options for 235s. it seems like 90% of the size are E range tires
