1st gen Report from trip to Colorado
I just got back today from my trip out to Colorado Spring for some training. Compared to Illinois they were loaded with 1st gens and cummins dodge trucks. I want to say powerstrokes were the minority. Anyhow within 10 minutes of getting into COS we passed a Club cab W350 that was all white. The next day I saw a red reg cab W250 towing a landscaping trailer. There was also a neat one with a truck sleeper on it at a construction site. and two minutes down the road a sweet tan and brown two tone W250 going the other way. I have to say it was a treat for me. and out of the rust belt too so everything looked good.

I found out the same thing when I went to Hawaii, I saw several firstgens on 3 different islands. IL was almost all powerstrokes until the duramax and 03+ Cummins came out, now you see a lot of them. I never noticed too many second gen 12 valves though, and almost never do I see a first gen on the road.

my trip
The owner on my next new to me truck phoned yesterday indicating he received the Title from his DMV. I'm making plans for my flight tomorrow, so I'll be making a drive from Pheonix to Winnipeg, Manitoba during our Thanksgiving weekend.
The scenery on the drive back I'm sure will probably be awesome this time of year.
I hope Whereswaldo250 is kidding and I do see some 1st gens while down there.

Featherman.
I would start your paperwork asap at the American side of the border. They want 72 hours notice to check on title of vehicle before they release it out of the country.
Hope this helps, Russ

Yes, that's true, I'll bet there are 10 just on our road. (in WA)... There is a really nice early one (89?) and most are tugging around 5th wheel horse or equip trailers full of round bales. Rarely see one that is not working. Dodge would do themselves a publicity favor if they would paint all the "Appaloosa's" wearing DODGE emblems I happen to have a '94 mini van with pretty ugly patches too.
Think of the good press if we all came to town looking sharp!
Today while sporting around central Colorado I think I saw 10 or 12. There are a couple sitting out in the ranch yard where I'm staying tonight. (they have some serious cancer, and good thing they haven't been washed in 10-15 yrs...) Had to do 12 miles of dirt road to get to this joint. It is nice they don't have external plastic (except for emblems) They should be like the 50-54 Chevy trucks; hanging around a long time....
