the 1st gen pulling truck thread

well it held together for the 1st hook of this season. Borrowed a set of tires for this pull since the ones I used last year are pretty worn. These were a brand new set of Nitto Mud Grapplers 305/70/16s.
From what I was told, they didn't spin much at all down the track and I could tell the truck was getting traction by how I couldn't keep my rpms up very high. This was a good test pull as I locked it up a little too early. I was just so excited I went for it when I thought it was ready but I'll be waiting longer to lock it up on my next pull. Here's an in cab vid, I'll try to get one of the pull from the stands later today.

We finally got the puller together and made a few passes. It felt pretty good throwing some dirt again. We have not pulled since last labor day, when both R&P's gave out.

Apparently it has been long enough I forgot how to embed them, so you'll have to click.

Pulled last night with the new setup on a very muddy, slick track. Rained all day. The lil 14mm VE fueled a lot harder than I thought it would though. Pull doesn't begin til the end of the vid, I had an air shut off malfunction at the first.

Yep sure did. I deal with Kort quite a bit. He's always treated me good.
Yep I put the whole fuel system together myself, the 6x18 injectors, the 14mm pump and the mods, custom fuel sump I designed and my brother made on a cnc. Then just an Airdog II 200 pushing 32 psi

Its the p pumped 24 valve out of his 96 green truck that was pushin over 1000 horse last year when he had twins on it, I think that was with a 12mm pump too, I'm not 100% sure. They put it in a 93 this year and made it a full out puller for 3.2. Its now got a 13mm P pump built by Goff and he says he's thinkin bout goin more or bigger since its running clean. He's got a hefty set of twins on it too, i cant remember the sizes, I'll have to ask him again. But yes its a pretty wild truck even though it looks like a big brother to my truck

Well, I made another hook this weekend.
The shackle flip helped but I still have a few chassis issues to get figured out..
