BTW Thank for lettin me ride with ya in the 2.8 class.

Anywho I also hooked in the "stock diesel" class after some adjustments to the suspension and it only starte to wave a little not a full on bounce. I finished 2nd with a hook of 279 and change, I probly could have gained a few more feet by running a different line but............

Weighed in at 5950 with 1/4 tank of fuel. Signed up for 8K pound street diesel. They paid the top 5. I got fourth!

I made $25 tonight. Check was $65. I paid $20 to hook and $20 in fuel to get to and from there.

I tried 3rd low moved it about 6" and started smoking the clutch. Got out of it and put it in 2nd. After I got over the shock of moving the sled, took about 100ft to realize that, I started turning the steering wheel and aiming for fresher track. Got 266.2ft. What beat me was a 08 Ford crew cab long bed with a tuner, a Dmax trailered in (broke the rear about 50ft out but still got 280ft), and a built P-pumper. I beat a Ford 7.3, 2 other p-pumpers, and a VP that broke the D80 yoke.

Here is the video:

Happy nothing broke!

Illegal in 90% of pulling. Some places have run-what-ya-brung and those may allow it.

Last Saturday in Beebeetown, IA.

Matt pulled the 7800#. 286'

I pulled the 8200#. 249'

Noticed a grinding sound after my pull and turns out the R&P got tore up. A few missing teeth and most of them cracked. This 3rd memeber was rusted solid when we got it and the 3rd pinion bearing was shot when we put it in. It withstood atleast 22 hooks and it bounced on half of them.So maybe a good one will last a little longer.

And here is my pull from the other night at our state fair. I pulled 226' somethin and got another 3rd place trophy. There was 4 trucks in my class but I beat a good runnin duramax and he even got to run twice.

This is probably my final pull for this year, but I did 5 total pulls this year and my truck ran strong, never took last place, and didn't break all year so I am very pleased especially for my first year of pullin. I still can't believe my stock auto trans is still goin but I think its been savin the rest of my drivetrain by slippin a little while pullin. I am definately hooked and already have plans for next year.

Nice one!

I have 1 more pull but I don't know if I want to cripple my clutch... Stocker as far as I know.

Are you putting it in D or 1 then 2?

4 low in drive, powerbrake a little til about 8 to 10 lbs then hammer down. Then at the end I shift manually down to 2nd then 1st when I feel my rpms start to drop or I slow down a little. I zip tie my tv cable just about wide open before I pull so that it shifts firmer and shifts at about 2800 or more rpm.

This last pull was weird, as soon as I hit 3rd gear, my rpms seemed to drop and sounded like it was really loadin the motor. It must of been bitin pretty good and the trans must not of been slippin as much cuz I was spinnin at the end a lot more than I usually do too.

I will caution you on using drive. The trans does not engage 1st gear while in drive. It spins the reverse/1st drum until there are more rpms to engage it.

By putting it in 1st, I knocked down .1 sec in the 1/4 mile while drag racing my old 2wd and could spin off the line. In drive, it just wound up and got going.

Something about when it is in 1st, the apply band engages right there, not waiting for fluid or rpms or whatever it is...

I had my first chance to pull the other night with my 93 W350 SRW. Had a great time and pulled 258 feet with just the screw turned on the pump. I had a fuel pin and injectors ordered but naturally they didn't come before the pull. Got another pull coming in a couple weeks so maybe the injectors will be installed before then.
