I cringe at all the usable vehicles that were scrapped with "cash for clunkers" $4k a piece.
First Gens did not qualify. Their MPG was too high to allow them to qualify.

Ran mine through the database and thats what it returned.

I don't see how that's possible Diesels didn't have MPG ratings back then.....

Or maybe that is why they don't qualify?

Even my Dad's 05. The dealer sticker had blanks where it would have MPG numbers

The 2500 and the 3500's did not require a MPG rating like the lighter duty 1500. The were classified as something different. The only thing C4C's could accept is if it had a low enough MPG rating OR you NEW vehicle purchase got 10% more than you current vehicle. SO the dealer near me says.

If you had a VW TDI, you were SOL. Nothing got better mileage than those...

I saw that and my first thought was- who is in my truck AND how did they get a picture of the other side? then I realized the colors were brighter and there were no holes in the doors. I'll try and get a pic of my bad side up tomorrow. Unless that is your good side, I think I still have the title..
Anyway, time to get a few Zs before the kids get up.
