Had to go and pick up a stray calf of ours that got penned up a few pastures down this morning. Decided to take Ole Red for a lil run. Looked so good under the trailer I had to snap a pic.

Boy that's a fine looking truck Blake. My offer still stands to look after her while you're out in Tx working. The trailer is kind of overkill for one calf though, eh?

Thanks guys.
KD yeah, that trailer is a bit overkill but was the only one at the house at the time. Wish I had a smaller one actually. Was a pretty tight squeeze to get to the pens.

Well it pretty yet, but I'm still working on it. The main thing is it's drivable now. Still need rear brakes and to fix a few leaks, but for sitting in a yard for 3 1/2 years it's not too bad. Only has 145,000mi on it so far and I paid $2000 and got a spare motor in the deal

towing machine
well, I bought my 1st-gen to tow and I finally assembled all of the ingredients
5,000# boat
1,000# trailer
6,000# 1st-gen
truck performed beautifully, pulling easily in 5th gear and accelerating up hills
very glad I own a 1st-gen!

Nice looking truck AND boat.
I'll bet she pulls just fine. Mine weighs in at a thousand or so less than yours and my truck runs better pulling it than not.

thx, here's another pic of the rig...and now you know how I got my handle on DTR
Subliminal, I've got about 1,000# of gear in my bed, plus the boat & trailer...truck rides real nice like that!
boy would I like to re-power my boat with diesel...I am so done with gas now that E15 has been pushed through
