Thanks for the comments. It is truly a one of a kind truck in so many ways. I have come to realize it is the type of preserved 1st gen rarely ever seen. However, I will be looking for a 2nd Gen extra cab 12v SRW 2500 in the future. Mostly a practical decision for our family traveling and camper towing needs. The 2nd gen full rear seat, more comfortable cab and ride are part of the considerations. Also, the only thing I ever tow is a 5k pound camper so I don't really need or desire a 1 ton dually for that. Not in any real rush to sell such a unique truck. If I owned a 1st gen museum, it would be parked right at the entrance. I would like to see it go to someone who appreciates and will take care of and keep a 1st gen in its pristine original condition. I couldn't stand to see it on the road some day blowing coal with stacks in the bed.

Hey DJ_Turbo. I noticed you have the same running boards as mine. Do you have a cut in the boards to allow for bed flexing? (I know it's a 2WD). I was doing some wheeling last weekend and the cut in mine didn't seem sufficient because I was hearing a lot of squeaking when in deep troughs.

I know I'll probably regret selling it because I have always wanted a 1st gen that hasn't been ragged out and rusted and ive finally found a "preserved" 1st gen but a 1 ton will be better for me.
