Well JQmile you put down some pretty good numbers with that 60mm compressor set up. Now its time to bump the timing!!! one of the best mods ona first gen! 340/691... i think with your tranny setup and stuff your torque would be in the high 700's with a intercooler and maxed timing. That should be another magazine article!! cool buildup , Brandon

I'm still a little nervous about overspeeding the turbo with the amount of nitrous I want to put on the truck, hence the stock housing. I actually was kinda bummed at the 340rwhp number, if you read the fine print, that was WITH nitrous. Working on more fuel to crack the 400hp mark with squeeze. After that I think we're going to put water meth on it and see if it'll break 400hp with w/m.

I didnt read the fine print... I desperately think you need timing. I head from many people that when you add big injectors you have to bump the timing or it will not run at its full potential. thats why non i/c trucks have more timing from factory..its because they have bigger injectors then the intercooled trucks have... hence, making the non ic trucks run better then intercooled trucks when they're stock.

I have thought of taking the AFC out, but haven't yet....We actually tested the stock lift pump and on the dyno it still made 4psi, I think the short dyno pull wasn't enough to drag it down too much, but you're right, a lift pump would help. I'm going to be putting a carter 100gph pump (20psi) and a draw tube at the same time I switch to 6x16 injectors. I just got a diesel Chevette as a daily driver (I know, I'm a nerd) so now I can advance my timing with nitrous and water meth without worrying about walking to work.....

I was greatly surprised at the difference the piston pump made on my truck. Good fuel pressure at the lp is important. Also, If you remove your AFC lever, after you tap the steel ball's out of the pump top, the one's that hold the AFC lever shaft in, you can tap the pump top and insert small set screw's in place of the steel ball's. That way if you ever want to put your afc lever back in it's real simple.
