sweet lookin ride, i was wandering where you found the lug nuts or what you did to run those wheels, i have a set and the tire shop told me that the lug nuts off the 2nd gen were bigger and that i had to find some other type of lug nut to make them fit. By the way my truck has the same paint scheme and i really like the way the truck looks, it looks awesome.

No machine work needed, have them on my 92. To use the knock offs you need the bigger lug nuts. Dealer had them under a part # for RV's. Spendy little fellas. Hit me $2.25 each, dont recall the part #. Knock offs stay on though and no clearance problems or modifying.

The rims fit on the back but are tucked in 2" more and almost rub the box. I had 2" spacers made to get them right. The spacers used 9/16 studs so I can use the 2nd gen lugs and caps. First gens use 1/2 studs unless it's a dually, those are 5/8. With the disc brake D80, they are oem rims; a direct fit and correct spacing.
The rims will not fit on the front without hitting the tie rod. Again, I used 2" spacers to get it correct. I did however search NAPA pretty hard to find 9/16 studs with correct length and more importantly, knurl diameter and I swapped all 4 hubs over to 9/16 studs just for the heck of it. You can still use your old 16x6 steel rims on the new studs; they fit fine.

The backset of the rims, is a little different than the first generation, but really, towing such loads as I do there should be some indication of something seriously gone wrong.

the ones you have palerider, are they staal or aluminum? i thought the ones on the vid were aluminum, like what i have and they came off a 2001 cdt. are you sti running the spacers sinceyou changed the stud size, are the spacers that you used at first strong enough to pull heavy loads safely? i am wandering , cause i am wanting to put the wheels that i have, on my truck.
