1992 dodge with probs

i have a 1992 dodge that now has oil in the water and water in the oil. noticed it started to get warmer than normal, poped the hood and saw oil and water mix had came out of the coolant over flow tank, and shut her off. still ran normal and did not smoke. any thoughts?

Either of these could be your problem, (apart from owning a 2nd gen! JK!!!) My money is on the HG , although I hope for your sake it's the cooler.

well at least no one said that the block or head could be cracked. if it is just a head gasket. piece of cake. can't be any worse than pulling a head off on 02?

Pull the oil cooler and pressure test it first before you rule the head gasket as the culprit. It'd be a shame to go through all the work to replace the head gasket and find out you're still getting water in the oil and vice versa from the cooler.

I can't say for sure but anything for a 12v should work (even if it's a p-pump motor). Basically '89 to early '98 would probably be the same.

Try a Cummins dealer if you have one nearby.
