Wow, nobody wants to answer this? You need a 1 1/2'' wrench, and some of those big honkin' channelock waterpump pliers. The clutch is held on with left hand threads. I use a thick rag wrapped around the pulley and held with the pliers. With any luck you can break it loose (clockwise). They can be a real pain sometimes. I've also used a makeshift holder from a section of an old serpentine belt and some vice grips. I'm sure there are better ways, it's just worked for me. Good luck, it WILL come off !! Jim

I always try hitting the wrench with a hammer a few times with the belt on and some times it will loosen up. once it breaks loose it should turn easy by hand.
again it is left handed threads.
I cheat though. an air hammer will break it loose in seconds but not everyone has an air compressor and air hammer
Good luck

If you want to use the correct tools for the job and don't need them today, email Harold Bowers - rvhvnfun@juno.com - about his wrenches. One slips over the ring of bolts on the fan hub to hold the dang thing still, the other fits the fan. Last I knew he wanted $20 for the set.
