Yeah I love my 12V. my 94 has about 248K and so far not really any problems. Great truck. Love it. Plus you don't have to worry about the Vp44 pump just the KDP but once it is fixed it is fixed no problems. But I don't know that there is a sure cure for the VP44 yet. My next Dodge Cummins which I don't expect to buy until my current truck has over 400K on it will be another 12V. I like the 24V and all but the pump worrys me. -Anthony

The VP44 is really a pretty good pump. If you will look at the majority of the failures on these pumps, it is from weak fuel pressure due to a faulty lift pump or a restriction in the line. This past Thursday at the shop, I changed out a VP44 on a Winnebago RV with 50k. After changing it, I found out that a restriction in the fuel tank line had caused the VP to go south. Remember, the rotaries (VP and VE pumps) are fuel lubricated unlike the P7100 inline which is oil lubricated. Im not disagreeing with you about the 12 valves. IMO they are better in every way. But, the 24v is not that bad of an animal.
