We are buying a really fixer upper 45 year old two bedroom house on about 1/3 acre. It will be a project but it is affordable and will stay in the family. It does have a brand new roof though.

At least you can keep dry. Make sure the screens are good to keep the skeeters out. They tried to make the skeeter the state bird a while back. How far outside of Tulsa will you be?

Mark, after you hit the road, how soon after will you be back on line on DTR? Just curious.

You both driving, or flying back?

True test of all the work you've done on the dodge, this trip will be. Feel good at where you've left off? I see your hvac components are buttoned up; is it charged?

Hey Mark. Is it time to offer congratulations on the new digs?

I hope that the move has gone well!

the trip went pretty good for 1800 miles in 4 days with the wife and two small dogs The transmission was a bit noisy. and the A/C cycle switch acted up just this side of the Oklahoma state line. Other than that some grades were slow to keep the EGT down.

The old house needs a lot of work as the former owner is semi disabled and maintenance was a problem. So I will be polishing my carpentry skills for some time

Well, if your carpentry skills are half as good as your fabrication skills, you should have that place a shiny -ship shape in no time....

Looks like I will get to polish my rusty carpentry skills
Although it needs work it is worth escaping the Kommunist Republic of Kalifornia.

Mark:

Glad you made the trip OK. Just a couple of reminders. Use a saw to cut the wood, Not a torch. Use nails and screws to join the wood, not an arc welder.

That's what my wife keeps telling me anyway.

Well that explains why my projects have been going up in smoke.
