Sometimes it's better (in anti-gun/freedom nanny states) when people that don't know squat about guns write silly laws about them. For example: as Mark pointed out in his previous post you can own a gun that is compliant but looks silly and still does the exact same thing as the non-compliant scary looking "assault" rifle. In some other countries weapons that are or were issued to any military are banned and weapons/ammo in a "military" caliber are banned. That is a much more restrictive policy than making a firearm look less scary.

Of course the same people that make the silly anti-scary-gun laws also pass legislation that welcomes MS13 gang bangers by the thousands into our country.

Monday I threw some black on my rear bumper and yesterday I masked the rear and shot some bed liner on the top.
I also made and installed the backup light brackets.

Today i got the bumper on the truck and picked up all the paraphernalia to wire it up Maybe tomorrow.

I agree on the detail of the contour. Defiantly custom. You're almost there, Mark. Pretty soon you'll be able to delete those last few words in your wig about someday getting it done, lol

Thanks Oliver, It came out better than I expected. The only plan I had when I started was the tapered ends. the rest was seat of the pants.
They are grommets for LEDs. the background is black

Looking good Mark....like the rear bumper but are you going to add a step since it is so thin? Nothing to step on and up into the bed if required....

Yeah the plan for now is to make one that slides into the receiver. that is about all i will have time for as our moving date is fast approaching.

In the last week I installed the bed rail protectors that I bought in 1996. I had to do some work to them as a rat knocked them out of the rafters onto the concrete floor.
I had to trim them a little and reshape the ends. I also picked up a TSC branded Crossover tool box for $70.00 off.And got the bumper/trailer wiring done. I made up some plug and play harnesses form some spare tail light plugs.

I also replaced the A/C drier, expansion valve and low pressure switch.

now we are waiting on a 28' van to load up for our move. We have 7 days until it gets picked up. The fun starts here.

Rats in the rafters bats in the belfry same thing. One time I caught two rats in the same trap at the same time twice the rat.

I think you'll like it in Green Country. Especially the smell of cow poop and oil wells. Be sure to buy a good coat for the winter and new wipers for the truck. When I lived there I had to get a new set every year. Ice storms are lots of fun too. I'll stop by next time I'm in the area. If you live in a mobile home a spider hole is a necessity. PM me your whereabouts when you get settled.
