OK today the brown truck paid me a visit. He brought me some nylon bushings from McMaster Carr.

Looking good, Mark. Question- is that the original power steering pump cap? Is it still good? What goes bad on those things anyway? Reason I ask, is I still have two of the originals, which I like the looks of. Someone told me that the rubber flap inside goes bad, but I think it was poor advice, as mine still looks good.
Currently have one of the Dorman replacement ones with the yellow top. Don't care for the looks of those. If caps remain good, I'd like to put my original one back on.

Are you going to move the throttle rod to the upper hole, on the pump, ever, or keep it in the stock hole?
Really like that blue hose a lot.

It is the same cap that has been on the truck since I bought it in 1996 I haven't noticed any problems with it.

I haven't thought much about which hole the link is in really.
I am sure once everything has settled I would move it just to see if I like it.

Yeah, it was another mod that went along with all mods to the VE. By moving the ball socket to that upper hole on the throttle bracket arm, you'll have to adjust/shorten the rod a bit, but it causes the pedal to pump reaction to happen faster, meaning quicker response time. I definitely noticed a difference. I believe I saw it in the sticky, that's where I learned about it.

Doesn't add any additional horsepower as the other VE mods do, just ramp up speed.

Nice work Mark. How's the sideline business going? You know...the indestructible condom business you were starting. I hear the red leather ones are most popular...

Looks bad a$$, Mark. That's a nice kit from HD. Offset and size transition all in one. I like it!
How much clearance do you have from the underside of the cross over duct to the top of the valve covers? Curious is all.

I see you still have your A/C to hook up...what are you running? Still the R12, or 134? Do you have the evac, vac, and Gage's to do it yourself? If not, I have gone to that Five Star mom and pop mechanic shop on Dry Creek, across from the old Lumberjack that did it for me, when my expansion valve went out awhile back.

If you still need to obtain an expansion valve, I noted the part number, correct for our trucks. Those things can be a bear to find, as even when you go to a parts house and list your year truck, the valve always has the electrical connector at the wrong spot, which is the drivers side. It'll collide with the HVAC fan shroud. It has to be at the passenger side.

I got my valve from Carquest in Morgan Hill, but Carquest is no longer in business. I should have gotten a spare, but didn't know they'd be gonzo.
In fact, I don't know where your at with A/C components, but shoot me a PM, as I've noted part numbers for all components. I'm guessing your model year and mine should use the same parts.
