Once I figured out why they didn't work. Moving the hole seemed like the easiest solution.

My wife is a propnent of this, except she mostly succeeds at failure, by not trying at all because of fear of failure, vs trying and failing. Very successful at failing, either way..

My wife accuses me of that. but sometimes I can see failure coming and the only way to avoid it is to avoid the the whole situation in the first place.

Today I got the new rear wheel bearings, seals, drums and axles in.now to turn it around and start on the front.

Not truck related but this morning when I went out to check on a couple rat traps. I got two rats in one trap.

This morning I stripped the outer parts off my front axle to do the king pins. One cone was a real PITA. I ended up heating the knuckle up pretty hot before it popped loose.
now to go take out the lower bearings

while dissembling this mess I noticed the drivers side bushing was missing the retainer that goes between the spring and the bushing was split and deformed. good thing I am one of those "while I am in there" guysI started to replace a stub axle and bearing.
The king pin kit I ordered didn't have the retainers either. But I need to order a slinger for the stub axle anyway.

This morning I found that the axle seals are leaking So the carrier comes out. always something
