very cool mark. I got my hands on a donor truck for the 73 turquoise club cab dodge so it will be a cummins soon as well. If I get two trucks done before yours is on the road - haha! Just joking

You got to drive it!! That makes it worth it. I drive mine now and then so I don't forget how much I like it. However mine hasn't gone under the knife yet.

donor is a 93 D250 so it will stay 2wd. I'll get to make use of your old 2wd 4000 lb rating parts too. The 93 donor has over 400K miles and the front end is pretty ragged out.

Cool glad you can put them to use. I still get a chuckle out of how your carburetor was acting the day you picked up the parts. Test drives can be interesting

turns out the float had a pinhole in it so it was running way rich. Found that out shortly after when it flooded out and stalled and spent quite some time getting it restarted at sunrise and antelope...

It probably wasn't your intention, but this brought me back to the warm fuzzy feelings of my childhood that I got when a gasoline engine was replaced by a diesel: going out to use a piece of equipment, and NOT having to clean points, tap a sticking float valve free, soak a rag in gasoline to hold over the air cleaner, or clean a fouled spark plug . . . it was like having a holiday.

Nice reminder to appreciate what is under the hood of our trucks.

Mark you inspired me! I took my truck for a "midnight ride" last night. I had the battery charger on it for a few hours and needed to test drive it to make sure it worked.

Not much work getting done on the truck lately. My wife's health has been deteriorating. She has been slowly grinding to a halt for the last couple years. Last Friday she passed out at work and was rushed to the hospital. Saturday evening they installed a pacemaker and the results were an immediate improvement. Now Maybe as she gets to where she can do more I can get some more done on the truck.OOps forgot the holidays are coming up
Oh well at least the heavy stuff is done.

I too have not had much time for the truck....We are having seriously bad Teen issues with one of my daughters. So that takes precedent to working on house or vehicles.
