Clearly it helped develop your "think out side the box" abilities.

That was the great part of that job. The boss was always open to ideas no matter how haywire the may seem.

Today I installed the seals in my hydroboost and reassembled it.
Hopefully there will be no leaks

Just for fun I tried the astro van hydroboost mount. I fits like it was made to go on a first gen. This is from a mid 90's astro. I may change the pushrod to a adjustable one to get the pedal a bit lower.

The Astro's ABS brakes are awesome also. I wonder if that system could be installed somehow.

Looks great Mark...I'm a bit jealous that it's just a drop in! But good info for those who are wanting to source these parts from the wrecker.

Didn't you already order the adjustable push rod? And how did you re-stake the pushrod?

Yeah I did get an adjustable pushrod. but I ordered the wrong pedal end so I made one but It isn't hard steel so I have to get a bushing.
I didn't stake it yet,Just in case it leaks. I had to tap it in with a small ballpein hammer and couldn't pull it back out by hand. If it needs to be re staked I think I will drill a 5/8 hole in a piece of scrap 3/8" then cut it in half to make a cradle to support the input rod. For a tool I think a small chisel rounded off and shaped to fit would work.

I am not so good with the electronics to tackle something like that
But I like ditching the stock master cylinder.
My father is fixing to learn why I did the swap, He got a rebuilt MC from O'realy's. The complaining shall soon begin.

I looked at that Idea some time ago when I helped my neighbor replace the front brakes on his 98 12v.

The rear axle that would be piece of cake. Now the front axle the ABS censers would be a challenge.

It would be a marriage of 1st gen axle carrier and tubes with 2nd or 3rd gen steer ends Brakes Abs censers ETC ETC Inner axles will probably need to be made and then a set of Dynaloc? Locking Hubs for Dodge and GM Dana 60 with 35 Spline OR .Dynatrac Free Spin Heavy Duty Front Hub Conversion Kit 03-09 Dodge Ram 5.9L / 6.7L Cummins

The plumbing & electronics that pretty strait forward.

It can be done.

As I recall from working on my Astro, it has tone ring on all 4 wheels.
On a D350 Dodge, no axles in the front, (2WD)

Ive never looked at 2wd But I think that would be very doable and easier than a 4X4 It would be getting the whole front end to fit and the swap in the P&E

The 98 my neighbor has, the rear has 1 tone ring just like the one in the 1st gen RWAL

Just noticed Bobva was banned. That is too bad. I've lost count of the number of good people banned on this site.

Sorry Mark for the thread hijack./
