I did a little trimming in my engine cross member today I also made somw gussets to tie the flange in a little better. I made this little jig to make things easier. The holes are for the brake line clamps and the bracket at the end of the hard line. I try to get these kinds of things done before I paint. the key word is TRY
With a little luck I can get some welding done tomorrow

Yeah I think so too. I have a bunch of that stuff banked up for lazy days that I just feel like puttering around.. Shocks that need a bushing sleve made for, brake lines to be bent, bumpers to be designed that sort of stuff.

some more today. I am getting closer to the front of the truck
I am also having a bit of a time getting onto the new welder. Not used to having so much control over voltage and wire feed.
Ignore the bolts. I needed some shorter ones than I had so I improvised to get it tacked together. necessity is a mother.

The way the light was on a couple of the pictures really worked to make them look good. I like the one of the left side. It almost looks polished. Fun stuff.
I have a dream of some day building a pro street Cummins powered 54 Chevy truck. along those lines here is a picture of my in process 52 GMC
