Well todays progress. I did a bunch of measuring and marked and got one of the 2 1/2" holes cut then broke the hole saw. so I had to go to Home cheapo and get a new one. After I got both holes cut. I transfer punched and drilled the two 1/2" mounting holes. I have to drill the topones from the inside.

I welded up the holes in the frame that were too close to where the new transmission crossmember are. then drilled the last one. there were also a couple too close to the rear front spring hanger on the left side. once all that was done I sprayed some Rustoleum Rust reformer on the bare metal as it is supposed to rain tomorrow and Saturday.

I'm with you oliver, I can't believe you can still see the painted numbers on the frame! Around here you leave that kind of thing as proof to how CLEAN it really is.
I am jealous, looks amazing.

Yesterday I threw some primer at the frame and some Misc. parts.
And the flywheel is supposed to be ready. so I am getting closer to getting the transmission in.

Great builds! That W250 is going to be a monster! Good work.
My Dad and I rebuilt a '48 5 window Chevy a couple years ago. Sounds like that '52 of yours will be pretty nice!

By your signature it looks like you have a pretty nice stable of old Dodges.

Haha, yeah the Power Wagons are cool. Couldn't hardly turn them away for the price. One sat for 15 years and we got it running and moving. The other sat for less than ten maybe and it's locked up tighter than Fort Knox, but it's got a clear Illinois title which is really rare. One is parts to other then it'll be for sale, even though they are both complete.
They were my "reasoning" for needing 3/4 ton diesel, to pull one around to truck pulls!

Thanks it is a lot of fun. My Dad has had it for about 18 years I think. He finally "finished" it so I was able to use it when I got married 2 years ago. It's been an amazing family project. 355 Chevy, Turbo 400, posi rear end from a Trans AM, great stereo, S10 front stub. It's been a long and great build.

My chassis for the GMC is pretty close to done fabrication wise. All I really need is to come up with a gas tank and build the brackets and weld the bumper mounts on.
I did mine with a 75'camaro front and a 76 Monty Carlo SS Triangulated 4 link rear suspension with coil overs and a 12 bolt NON "C" clip rear end.
The plan for an engine is a built 250 six and a 4 or 5 speed car transmission.

Could have been better could have been worse. At least the majority is done.
