These are tiny logs and we now have longer stakes so the extensions aren't necessary.

Today I made these "Bridges" for my jack stands. I have had problems with this every time I want to use these stands on a frame. So O came up with this. They are removable for use on an axle or tube. after that I put them to good use I used them so I could remove my rear springs. It turns out that the bushings are shot. imagine that they are only 25 years old I am almost ready to pull the rear end so I can swap it with the one with the gears that match the front.

Nice tool upgrade! A little flat stock and a welder can go a long way. Oh, and BTW my air filter nuts are painted "Valspar Equipment Yellow" so they should work just fine on the Cummins. It was either that or Ford blue.

Really though they look good. And I like yellow. I am thinking about painting my 52GMC Ford grabber yellow.

Today I got the rear end swapped out of the donor now I have to clean it up. There is a bit of rust damage here and there Not too bad though. The only bummer is I lost my power lock in the trade. at least I have a front and rear with matching gear ratios. and that is a good start.

Hey. Thanks for the link to your thread posted in the spring thread. Its been awhile since I've looked in on this build. That is a very nice job on the spring hanger setup. Keep up the good work

Nothing too exciting I wire wheeled some more on my rear differential and disassembled one of my rear springs for some cleanup and bushing replacement.

I saw a very similar 2-tone (ford blue/school bus yellow) on a mid 80's F250 and it was pretty garish (or even hideous). I didn't like it at all. I like both of those colors well enough but they make a bad mix. Kinda like stoopid people and gasoline.
