For anyone following the thread, this is my email reply of how they fit:

"The inner steel wheels will be hub centric made for your truck, the center bore of the aluminum wheels is 130mm, this is a stud centric application using lug nut with a shank. 255/85R16 is a different set up than a 19.5 tire, we can't run a 245 on the A.E. wheels, if you like we can do it with the Vision wheels."

They told me they would not mount the 245s on the American Eagle rim. I was telling them I didn't have wear on my 255/85s and I would waive any responsibilities if they would just put them on for me.

That is exactly what I want to do with my '90!! That looks so sweet!! Did you use a rear axle out of a pick up or is that the original, narrower axle of a chassis cab? I also have the 159" WB. Did mounts line up ok or did you have to fab some? Is the rear of the frame long enough or does the bed extend beyond the frame after having centered it over the axle?

I've been looking at buy a full truck to be parted out. Mostly for the bed and rear axle in order to do exactly what you have done. Dually beds are hard to come by here in Socal. I did find one from an '85 at a truck utility body shop. The guy told me he's had it for about 6 months, it's in like new condition but he wants $1450 for it!!! Seems awfully expensive to me for a bed that old and the fact that he's not even advertising to sell it so it's just taking up space. I'm hoping to do him a favor and clear some space by picking it up. Preferably for a lot cheaper than $1450!

The rear overhang of the frame is 6" longer, and as seen in the picture, needs to be trimmed. The frame has no provisions for mounting the box. You need to drill the frame in the rear section to mount the box, and in the front you need to add the box to frame brackets. The bed will SIT on the frame correctly though.
The axle is the c/c narrow dually. I had to widen the inner wheel tubs for clearance. I will also be adding the fender flares when I'm a little farther along with the project.

Did they agree to do it Luke?

No they wouldn't. And I have not seen a good picture of the less expensive and wider Vision wheels on a truck yet. The rears look good, but the fronts look a little funny. I want to see them on a truck first.

I've kind of gotten cold feet on the 19.5's for now anyway. I really like the look of a white truck with all black wheels, so we'll see.

the reason they can't install the tires is they are 16in so they won't fit a 19.5 wheel

If I understand what you're trying to say correctly....

I was not asking them to put my 255/85/16's on a 19.5" Eagle Alloy rim . I was telling them that I have run a wide tire (255 series) on a 6" wide rim with no issues for several thousand miles now and no odd wear patterns.

They were saying that the 245 series was too wide for their 6" rim, and the 225 series is all they offer. I know that the diameter is different, however I was asking them about width.

The Vision 19.5" wheels are wider (6.5" I think), and they will accommodate the wider, 245 series tires no problem. However, I'm not sure if I like them.

you can get great prices on 19.5" tires at your local tire shop. i got a set of bridgestone m729f 285/70/19.5 size, for $150/ea, compared to ricksons site that has a price of almost $500/ea. gcr tire center is where i buy all my tires.
