Hey Jimbo486, wish I had known that. The reason I'm going to the severe duty spring is that my front end is down & I need to level it back up. My tires had worn through to the threads & I put some used ones I had on last week so I could keep driving. The ones on it now are scraping the running board mounts that cover the rear of the wheel well. The guy from rock auto mentioned spacers when talking about the 7226s's. In your opinion, or if anyone else has had the experience, should I had spacers to get the front up & the ride level? Thanks, Packratc

Just adding the severe duty springs alone will not bring the front end up, It did not bring the front of our 92 up at all. add the spacers

My brother in law is having the same problem with his d250 sagging in the front. I think were gonna try the spacers in it also.

Any details on the spacers? Seems spacer threads have gone around in the past, but none available when we drill down. I do recall a Chevy spacer, but it was too tall for my tastes. I think a 1.5"-2" lift would be plenty.

Yes, I believe you Jimbo486. I called Daystar & the sales rep would only say that the catelog says it will fit the '94 & newer. I told him I agree with that but that I was told (by you) that they would fit. I also told him I didn't think that the 92 & 94 suspensions were different. Was I untruthful? Anyway, I'm willing to buy them & if they don't fit I'll eat them. Daystar wouldn't sell to me but referred me to an off road place about 20 miles from me. I called them and they didn't know but will research the question & call me back. Jimbo, does using the 2" spacer require an extended shock. According to Daystar they sell scorpion shocks & the spacers in a kit (part no. KC 091211 BK) & it appears that it's an extended shock. Any expertise you can extend will be appreciated. If the shop calls me back I'll let you all know what they say. Packratc

Unfortunately, I don't know from experience. I believe Nick (PapeCat) installed them in a truck he owned. I don't remember seeing anything about requiring a longer shock or not. However, I installed the 2" spacers in an '06 2wd truck and longer shocks were required.

I found some threads regarding the spacers and Nick has said that the Daystar spacers will work. Daystar's website does specify that longer shocks are required for the 2" spacers. However, it's not specified for the 1" and 1.5" spacers. You'd just have to find a shock with a longer extended length.

Jimbo486, I took you to mean that Nick intalled the Daystar brand in a 1st Generation. Is that what you mean & not that he just installed them in a truck? You & I have been chasing the same daystars today. Thanks, Packratc

there used to be a thread in the sticky on the daystar spacers, and part numbers and all were included. Guy had a white club cab D250 that did it.

Daystars on the way!

Finally located another local source to buy the 1.5" Daystar neophreme (sp?) spacers. The guy said they'll be here today, that's one day service. I had no idea what they were worth but the guy got me for $120. I thought, and still do, that that's awfully pricey. Can anyone else give me hint as to what they paid for theirs? The retailer also stocks Bilstein shocks and he recommended a longer shock for my application. He priced them at $70 per. If the price on the spacers isn't too out of line, I'll buy the shocks there. Sorry that this project and thread has taken so long but I'm not going to take my truck apart until I have all the parts together. Should be within a week or two when I get started. I need to price the rotors too. My front wheels seem to be scraping the running boards more when I hit a bump & turning. Makes me cringe every time. Packratc

The 1 1/2" daystar spacers i've sold for 2wd Dodges from 94-up are a part number kc09103bk and $120 is way high for that number. They should retail for about 40 bucks. $70 bucks per shock for bilstiens is a decent price but now I'm wondering what 1.5" part number your getting.

4 Wheel Parts lists the 1.5" Daystar spacers for $40. Show this to the retailer you're dealing with and ask him to match or beat the price.

I feel like a dummy! I was already preturbed about these things as that's all that's keeping me from getting on with the work. First to call Daystar, and they not selling to me, and then calling their dealer in an adjoining city and they not calling me back, I was anxious to get moving on my rebuild. I just pulled out the cash and paid it, not even considering that it was more money than I paid for the springs. They were supposed to be here today and the local shop was to call. They're closed on Monday. Of course I'll tell them that I've decided to cancel my order & that i want my money back. Then we'll go from there. Of course I'll notify Daystar and probably the Better Businss Bureau. I feel like a fool, an old fool, and we get even. Pakratc
