i think you need to be above at least 450hp before you would need to consider it

have you advanced you timing yet? If so put it back to stock. Higher timing = higher HP, lower boost, lower EGT, and less low rpm tq.

Stock timing will spool faster and run higher boost psi making more low end tq. Not as much fun to drive though. lol

when i first bought the truck the pump was on the head! i brought it back down and bumped it up a little. my friend said a tiny bit wont hurt torque and will gain alittle hp and fun. i hate how most of the numbers for performance parts are hp not tq.

I have the KTA 14mm head and rotor. He sells em for $500, and says they're worth about 100hp over a 12mm. Fuel system has to be up to snuff though, plenty of pressure helps em survive. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're looking for 400+ hp though. Not too many other bolt-ons that can get you that kind of hp. So far the VE horsepower record for a 12mm is 488, with the 14mm it is 650-ish.

Well generaly with diesel performance the tq gain is about double the HP gain. So for example 100hp injectors will also give you nearly 200lb. more tq.

Same with newer electronic controled diesels. The Extreme tune on bully dog for the LBZ Dmax is 130whp/260wtq. Generaly its double.

Those are all #2 numbers? Well if you already have the 14mm head I guess there will be some good reading coming up here in the next month or two. With the DDP's and 14mm along with some N2O and slicks you are in the 12's for sure. Dang, I was hoping to beat you there.
