Well, here's my thinking on the power, and this is all SOTP/boost gauge dyno and we all know how accurate that is. The water/meth is worth about 50 HP, the turbo was worth 30 HP I think - the truck was much more impressive on the top end. My dyno runs showed that the WH1C/12 was choking the engine up top - the HP curve was flat between 2000 and 2500 RPM. The gov. spring ought to be worth 20 HP just from the extra 500 RPM, and grinding the AFC lever was a good 50 HP. That puts me at a guesstimated 150 HP over my last (and only) dyno numbers for a total of ~400 BRHP (Bench Racing HP). We'll see how good my guessing is on April 30 when I go to the Spring Fling. I'll do one #2 only run and 2 water/meth runs.
I haven't had my foot on the floor yet. I'm paranoid about the Getrag exploding because I'm dropping the truck off Friday for a trans rebuild and a SBC Con-O. It would be just my luck that I'd destroy the trans this week. Once the trans is built I'll start flogging on it and see what it'll really do. When it stops being scary I'm sure I'll have to find something else to do to it. Or maybe the paint chip that fell in the pump will destroy something important and I'll need a rebuild - then it'll be time for a high capacity distributor head.

All I can say is I'm glad he's helping me with my truck
Glad to hear everything worked out, but your not swapping the gutbag out?

Nah, I'm keeping the Gutbag. It's much cheaper to fix the Getrag than to swap in the NV4500 (especially on a 2wd), and the Getrag should hold up fine for my purposes. I don't tow, and I don't try to shift the trans faster than it wants to be shifted, and I don't dump the clutch. It's held up for 2 years making noise, I think once it's fixed it should last a good long time.
Gonna get some mods in your sig in about a month and a half.
If you grow up you can't be like me.

Hey Dave.... I am REALLY looking forward to your results ..... If you have the time and opportunity, try doing a dyno run with you pump timing set on the default index marks, then raised to what you would normally like to run it at.....there is some "hmmmmm'ing" going on in this area....

Don't say that! I might send ya a plane ticket for the POD and spring install and the pump adjustments. I have a comfy chair to sit in out in the garage to sip my favorite beverage
