12cm housing, BHAF, and a slightly less effective transmission

Today I got the 12cm housing on, along with the BHAF. It makes the turbo sound a lot nicer, and pyro readings went from 1100 max unloaded to 1350 max unloaded. Boost is up to 28-29psi from 22. However, I did have one question: on the 12cm housing, 2 holes were threaded while on the 18 none were, so I had to drill the holes out. Did anyone else encounter this?

The truck pulled hard in first, and I was thrown forward in my seat when it hit 2nd gear... now it's just a question of Goerend or DTT. I'll post pics as soon as they're approved.

BHAF and mount: not bad considering the hole was cut with a cutoff wheel

Try adjusting the front band, that should help with 2nd unless it's already toast.

Some trucks with 12 cm housings had 2 studs in the housing and 2 in the manifold.

I will probably try a fluid flush/filter change/band adjustment soon. Where can I get filters for the transmission?

Any auto parts store will have a filter/gasket kit.

I have a couple questions since I plan to put the 12wg on my auto truck. I don't see the wastgate actuator in the pics, did you block the wastegate? Did you have interferance with the heat exchanger lines when you moved the exhaust pipe back? How hard was it to move the pipe back?

I have the wastegate wired shut for now, until I make a mount for the actuator. One line in particular is a little bit of a trick when moving the downpipe back, but as long as you're careful you can move the pipe fine. My exhaust clamps hadn't been removed in 178K miles, so they were all rusted. I cut/took them off, moved the pipe back, and replaced them with new ones.

I thought the actuator and bracket bolted right to the turbine housing? Did you drill out the divider in the housing to wastegate all cylinders?

On the 12 valve housings the actuator bracket bolts to the housing and sticks out toward the passenger side. On 24 valves it is attached to the compressor housing. I didn't drill the divider out yet because I have a limited number of tools.
