1/8th Mile Times....

I'm going to hit Irwindale next week to see what I can run in the 1/8th with Rust Bucket, and bringing slicks and nitrous with me

This last Thurs I went 10.0 at 81mph without hooking up till the top of 3rd gear....with slicks I hope I can lock the converter in Second, spray in Third, and also launch off the transbrake. So what's the VE truck record? 7.99? MPH? Need something to shoot for

pretty quick! but with that mph you got enough power to do alot better. If you can get it to hook!

I don't know about any records but 7.96 @ 84.54 here (6400# W250 CC, auto, 12mm H/R, and a little W/M).

No doubt! The transbrake launch should be interesting.

With how light your truck is, and how much power you have, do you think slicks alone is going to cure the traction issue?

I haven't been to Irwindale for the drags in a while. My just bought a '98 Camaro SS and wants to run the track a bit. Maybe we'll see you out there sometime!

Drag racing is cool, dyno wars are cool too, but I would LOVE to take the Rust Bucket and make a 2wd puller out of it That would be an awsome challange getting that sucker to hook and go strait

2.8 60ft, 9.68 at 85mph. Either bogged or spun. I think I need to take some timing out of the truck to make it down the track. Tried leaving at 15psi off the trans brake with a little shot of nitrous. That didn't work so well

Also didn't lock the converter until about 70mph in 3rd on that pass. Nut behind the wheel needs some tightening.
