1/2" steel cooler line

Indeed! Copper is a truly poor choice. There is a reason every racing orginazation does not allow Copper lines.
That said, I had copper lines on an old Barracuda, a thousand years ago, (for FUEL of all things!) and never had a problem. Thank God!
I tend to "overbuild" everything, and I used Stainless for my lines.
Nice looking rig though! Must be swell not having the fenders to lean over!

The radiator itself is rubber-isolated and it looks lke he's got a rubber connection on the lines starting somewhere right near the front of the block, so as long as there's a nice rubber cushion between the trans cooler and radiator, I think it will be OK. But keep an eye on it, just in case.

www.inlinetube.com has 1/2" stainless tubing and www.classictube.com has both stainless and regular steel tubing for anyone interested in going that route.

Chapter President
The orginal brass fitting is 1/2" inverted flare.
Becareful if you change the fitting, I heard of guys cracking the trans case tightening them too much. I've seen repair kits to salvage cracked cases from different transmission parts houses.
Finding things locally for me is a waste of time, I find I have more stuff at home than some of the local parts places have.
Push lock inverted flare. I think its the right one, but I'm not completely sure because I removed all of that stuff and replaced with stainless JIC.
