01 flywheel same as 93 ?

Will a stock flywheel from a 2001 cummins 6spd work in a 93 getrag truck?

He only wants $50 for it, he replaced with a southbend flywheel.

Thanks

yup! just need the 3/4" starter spacer. the getrag has a 13" clutch as well, so i would imagine the pressure plate assembly will match the bolt pattern. i wouldn't know for sure though since my clutch is from an '01. well, not anymore. got the southbend installed on monday

Your post confuses me.

I'm gonna need a starter spacer to use an 01 flywheel in a 93?? whats so different??

I just need an extra flywheel to send out to the machine shop, but meanwhile keep the truck on the road until the very last second.

I measured from the center of the flywheel to the outside and its 13" and i can see where the old clutch was heating it up and it was for sure a 13" clutch that was on this flywheel. Told its from a 2001 6 speed cummins. Guy lives right around the corner from me.

I'm using a 1st gen clutch, 1st gen everything besides the flywheel i hope.

Um, the starter spacer will not work, 1st gen and 2nd gen starter have different bolt patterns, only 2 holes line up between them, would work in a pinch, but I wouldn't get in the habit of it.

Brandon,
Are you going to reuse the pressure plate or get a new one? The Sachs style pressure plate is made to go on the matching flywheel that has a slight lip around the outside where the pressure plate sits into. Or are you going to go with a new style pressure plate? If you need dimensions I have 2 complete Sachs style setups in the shop.

Its a Valair performance clutch kit i got, with pressure plate. 3400#

The clutch is 13" made for 89-93 getrag trucks. I was just hoping this 01 flywheel will work since its a good deal and its 2 blocks from my house.

Maybe i could ask Valair?

the getrag flywheels had a lip on them that aligned the pressure plate, If your flywheel doesnt have a lip, the 89-93 clutch wont work. you better call a clutch manufacturer and find out for sure.
