xtra power, kdp fix it, valve adj

i belong to the toyota camper forum for people who had motorhomes built on toyota chassis. i started w/an 83. i had a lot to learn. after buying our 95 ctd to pull our 5vr, i don't visit as much, but you see the same questions asked as new members join in. fortunately there were always those who understood and were helpful.
w/this truck i'm startin all over again. so thanks for the patience and help.
saw a post listing options and costs for them. listed kdp fix as 90$ is that the drill n screw kit? who has them. w/195k on my truck, is it still an issue?
don't know if it's just my computer, but every search on this site like, kdp, tps, tcc gives me an error message saying it's below the 4 letter min for a search. so i appreciate the feedback to old questions.

my 95 is stock. i believe it's supposed to be 160/400. i put in a K&N, but w/waste gates does it really make any diff? it pulls our lite 5vr pretty good. for the most part we cruise around 73 @ 2k rpm and get 14+ mpg. definately better than the toyota!
what would be the single least expensive mod that would improve performance w/o cuttin fuel economy?
is there a way to tell if my valves are ready for adjustment? w/o knowing it's history, i felt it should be done and was waitin for 200k to do it.

were all the 95 3/4 tn ctd also the heavy duty version?

when u search use kdp* make sure to use the star* and as far as performance move the fuel plate and afc housing forward this will help alot and wont kill mpg as ar as the valves go go ahead and adjust them i think the fact recomends every 24k they be adjusted also if your truck is a auto dont move plate to far could slip tranny

You can buy a KDP jig for around $40 for the entire kit with several retaining bolts, no fan wrenches from Harold at rvhvnfn@juno.com
More for a kit with wrenches. Easy job, if you can change your own oil you can use the jig.
