Would you buy this???

Hello,
I found this truck for sale in my area but the list of mods is somewhat extensive and Im not sure what some of them even are! Can someone here give me some input on if they think this would be ok for a daily driver. Here is the list of mods...1994 2500 RC LB 4wd 5spd
-180 injectors
-131 DVs
-WH1C w/18.5cm exhaust housing
-no plate
-AFC modded(barrel and foot ground, smoke screw backed out, no rack plug, starwheel adjusted)
-20.75* timing
-Armstrong Performance header
-CDS 5k
-turned barrels
-4" exhaust

(94 2500, 5spd, RC, LB, 4wd, 4.10s -BHAF, 4" straight to 5" dual mitres, AFC moded FF, 180 injectors, no plate, 4k, 131 DVs, 20.75*, 60lb valve springs, ARP, Armstrong Performance header, KDP tabbed, 2" leveling kit, drilled out WG and ported exh housing, taurus electric fan, partial fuel system, turned barrels, 2095plug 19.1mpg so far)

This would be my only source of transportation and I need something thats reliable. I want to see if anyone thinks this is a timebomb due to the mods. Thanks in advance.

20.75* sounds high for timing
Any guages on this thing? I hope it has a EGT guage at least
With all those mods I bet thing could get pretty hot if it towed much.

My personal opinion is that I'd be careful about buying a truck that had been heavily modified since it probably also had been run very, very hard. I've seen guys over-modify their trucks and then want to sell them exactly because they aren't reliable any more.

I always tell people a stock truck is preferred for exactly the same reasons Robert describes.

Definitely don't pay extra for mods, they are more of a liability than an asset.
Plus it's fun to do the mods yourself.

That truck really isn't all that wild. The only real questionable items is the turned barrels. That will give a pump more fuel, but if its done on the truck, its calibration is as only as the guy who did it. Take it for a test drive and see. The 5k might be a bit sensitive, but try it. The timing is a bit high for a DD truck without studs in it. Higher likelihood of a blown head gasket, but theres lots of trucks that can sustain that timing on stock gear. Luck of the draw.

Looks like he tried to pull some fuel out of it, since 180 pumps come factory with 181 DV's, and he's running 131's.

Go look at it and see what its like. Just because a truck is modded doesn't mean its beat.
