What plate profile should I grind?

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to replace my valve seals and while I'm in there it makes sense to do 60lb valve springs and a 4K GSK. Also, now that I'm finally hooking up my pyro it's time to grind myself a fuel plate.

I have a complete 4" exhaust on the truck, although the HX35 and everything before it is stock and planning to stay that way for now. I'm getting ready to order a SB 13125-OK (13" clutch, rated for 400hp and 800lb/ft). Obviously I won't be grinding a plate until the clutch has arrived and is installed.

So what plate profile do you guys recommend that will keep my EGTs under control and also not burn up the low clutch on the totem pole, as far as 13" SBs are concerned?

Oops! Mods, please move to the 2nd gen performance section. I selected the wrong category. Thx.

What are you going to use the truck for?

Just remove the plate, or grind a 0 if you are concerned about too much fuel on the top end. Tune your AFC to control the fuel on the bottom and mid range.

Agreed, a zero/100 or no plate will be a nice power combo, control the fuel with your right foot. With the five speed you will be able to control the egt's just fine.

Truck only tows occasionally, other than that its a driver. Is it not bad to remove the plate completely?

Won't hurt at all and is an easy way to start.
You'll find out if you like your eyes glued to the pyro all the time while you do the plate's job with your foot.
