At What Mileage is the KDP getting people?

I put 40,000 miles on mine after I bot it used and found out about K.D.P. so I decided to tab the pin. and when I got it apart. it had already come out. someone welded the pin into the case cover and fixed the timing case with silicone to stop the leak. it broke two teeth off the cam gear, this cost me alot of money to put it back together the rite way. I think it only comes out on 1%

its all randomization and probability... More randomization... The probability that it will fall off is there, why not just kill it? I killed mine at 150K or so... My old coworkers truck has 400K and is untouched.. and has had no KDP.. i wonder who sleeps better at night now....
