I was wandering if there is a really good valve cover gasket that maybe some of you have figured out to use that seal up really well, the current felpros that i keep buying dont last very long. I have A1 head studs and they are not too tall because the valve covers sit flush on the head with no gaskets but i still have one or two that i have to replace sometimes. I ground down the webbing inside the valve covers to make them work. Just looking for some bright ideas

When you work in your engine bay, don't put a knee on your valve covers. It's a hard habit to break but it will stop you from tearing up the gaskets so much.

 

Don't overtighten!! Sometimes you can and will cut through the gasket.

 

All my bolts are shouldered, no matter how much you tighten them, they won't go down any further.
