Well...I need a different motor setup
I figured out why my truck white smokes. I did a compression check yesterday. Around 410(psi) on #1, 250 on #2, 410 on #3. I established i had a problem so i yanked the head. Wow, big problem. Pistons 2,4,6 were chewed up beyond belief. Only had truck for 5000 miles. My guess is, someone ran something through the motor, then took it apart and cleaned out the chunks of piston, probably rebuilt the head and put in new injectors and rebuilt the turbo, then put it back together and sold it. I was the one who bought it. Motor didn't use oil, antifreeze, or have bad blowby. Had 129,000 on it. I pulled the motor last night, which not surprisingly took only a few hours. Now i'm either going to get a reman. long block or find a used p-pump motor from a junkyard. Is there any hang up's when you swap in a p-pumped motor? Any suggestions or advice on this whole ordeal would be appreciated. Thanks, Kevin
