I just steam cleaned the engine in my 95 today. The water in fuel light is on. I tried to reset it by disconnecting the battery and that didn't help. I just put a new fuel filter on 2 weeks ago so I don't want to take it back off. This happened to me last time I cleaned the engine, but I don't remember how I fixed the problem. Hopefully somebody knows of an easy fix.

 

just unhook the connector at the fuel filter for a couple of days. These trucks are notorious for getting water in the connector and causing the WIF light to come on.
