Hello
Welcome to the forums Bonsai62, you will find a wealth of information here.
I don't think a few drops of oil from the blow-by tube are anything to worry about. As for the fuel additive, it's pretty much as you see fit. I use it faithfully every tank full, as far as I am concerned it certainly can't hurt; many do, some don't. Do a search about this and you will understand.
Good luck with your new ride.

The oil drop or two is normal. You can install a little catch bottle on the end of the tube to keep the driveway clean. Just needs to be emptied at every oil change, as only about a tablespoon or two will accumulate. Heres what I did, hopefully it will make sense:

I took one of my kids disposable juice bottles, they are about 8 ounces in size and have a larger opening or mouth. I then drilled some 1/4" or 5/16" holes (probably 10 holes total) around the side of the bottle about 3/4 of the way up. The holes are to vent the blow by gasses. I then slipped the bottle over the tube so the tube sits about 2/3 of the way down into the bottle. I then drilled a hole straight thru the side of the bottle and the blow by tube, slipped a piece of wire thru it all to hold in to place. The wire gets pulled out, and the bottle drained. Just make sure your holes in the bottle are lower than the end of the blow by tube so in the remote possibility the bottle overflows, it will drain before it covers the end of the tube.

Hope it makes sense, hope it helps, Kevin

Getting a couple drops of oil from the breather is pretty much normal, The catch bottle trick is one way to deal with it. As far as fuel additives, I use a conditioner about every 4 or 5 tanks. Useing it more frequently wont hurt anything.
